Honey Sesame Roasted Chickpeas

Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional, for added warmth)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Chickpeas
    Pat chickpeas dry with a paper towel. Place them in a mixing bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, and cinnamon if using.
  3. Roast Chickpeas
    Spread chickpeas in an even layer on the baking sheet. Roast for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  4. Add Honey and Sesame
    Remove chickpeas from the oven and drizzle with honey. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top, then toss to coat. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to let the honey caramelize slightly.
  5. Cool and Serve
    Let chickpeas cool before serving; they’ll get crunchier as they cool. Enjoy as a snack or salad topping!
