Classic Chickpea Hummus

Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 10 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for serving
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2–4 tbsp cold water
  • Paprika and chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Blend Base Ingredients
    In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, and a pinch of salt. Process until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Adjust Consistency
    With the processor running, add cold water 1 tablespoon at a time until the hummus reaches your desired creamy texture.
  3. Serve
    Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle with a little olive oil, and garnish with paprika and parsley.
